1. Who We Are (Data Controller)

BoostReel is operated by LELE HOLDING VENTURES LLC ("BoostReel," "we," "us"), which acts as the data controller for personal data processed through the Service. For any privacy questions, contact us at support@boostreel.app.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account info: email, display name, and authentication tokens.
  • Project content: prompts, brand assets, scripts, and videos you create.
  • Connected accounts: when you connect TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, or YouTube, we store OAuth tokens and basic profile data (display name, account ID) needed to publish on your behalf.
  • Usage data: basic analytics about feature use to improve the product.
  • Billing data: handled by our payment provider Stripe (see Section 4). We receive limited transaction metadata (order ID, plan, country, last four digits) — we do not store full card details.

3. How We Use Information & Legal Bases

We process personal data on the following legal bases under GDPR / UK GDPR (and equivalent grounds in other jurisdictions):

  • Performance of a contract — to create your account, generate AI scripts and visuals, render videos, publish to platforms you've connected, and provide customer support.
  • Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, measure product usage, and improve features. We balance these against your rights and freedoms.
  • Legal obligation — to retain transaction records for tax and accounting, and to respond to lawful requests from authorities.
  • Consent — for any optional marketing communications or non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Third Parties & Data Sharing

We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients:

  • Stripe Payments Europe, Limited and its affiliates ("Stripe") — our Merchant of Record for all sales. Stripe processes payments, manages subscriptions, handles invoicing, tax compliance, and refunds. When you purchase a plan, your billing details are collected and processed by Stripe under its own privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
  • AI providers (e.g. Google Gemini) — to generate scripts, captions, and visuals from your prompts.
  • Social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn) — when you publish content, it is transmitted to those platforms under their own privacy policies.
  • Infrastructure subprocessors — managed cloud hosting, database, and analytics providers acting on our instructions.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.

5. TikTok Data Use

When you connect a TikTok account, we access only the scopes you authorize (basic profile, video upload, video publish). We use TikTok data solely to publish content you create in BoostReel. We do not sell or share TikTok data with third parties, and we do not use TikTok data to train AI models.

6. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted, and we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures (access controls, least-privilege, audit logging) to protect personal data.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and project data while your account is active and for a short period afterwards to handle disputes and meet legal obligations. Billing records retained by Stripe follow Stripe's retention schedule and applicable tax law (typically up to 10 years). You can delete your projects or disconnect social accounts at any time; to delete your account, contact us.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent. UK/EEA users may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. We aim to respond within one month. To exercise these rights, contact support@boostreel.app.

9. International Transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country of residence (including the United States) by us, Stripe, AI providers, and infrastructure subprocessors. Where required, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses to safeguard transfers.

11. Children

BoostReel is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
